It has emerged that, the late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Emmanuel Kyerematen Agyarko died of complications after gallbladder infection.
Former Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko who is the brother of the deceased disclosed this when a delegation from Parliament visited the family to commiserate with them.
He revealed that, an acidic reflux and a malignant gallbladder infection caused the sudden demise of their colleague.
The former Energy Minister recounted how his brother has been battling with the disease for the past three months and had to be flown outside the country due to the deteriorating health conditions.
“The health personnel tried whatever they could. Ghanaian doctors who realized an MP from their country has been admitted owed it a responsibility to salvage the situation. At a point, there was no way his life would be sustained. Knowing how he loved and enjoyed life, we knew very well that it would not have been his wish to be on life support” he added.
“Within a space of three months, a healthy body has been reduced to a cold body” Mr Agyarko added.
