The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region says things will play to its advantage if the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government recklessly puts Freddie Blay over Dr. K.K Sarpong by sacking the latter from his current position as the Ghana National Petroleum Authority (GNPC) boss, MyNewsGh.com reports.
Fuseini Donkor, a former District Chief Executive (DCE) of Sekyere Afram Plains in the Ashanti Region has warned the current administration us digging a dredge to fall in if it dares fires Dr. KK Sarpong following his recent differences with the Board Chairman of the GNPC and National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Freddie Blay
According to him, the decision to choose Freddie Blay over Dr, Sarpong he described as a “dangerous political animal” will only satisfy Mr. Freddie Blay who happens to be incumbent National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Chairman Blay who is also Board Chairman of GNPC is at warpaths with Dr KK Sarpong over the recruitment of some staff with media reports suggesting the latter could be axed from his position by the President.
But speaking on Kumasi based Silver FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr. Fuseni Donkor, revealed that, Dr. K.K Sarpong was the man behind a lot of parliamentary seats that the NDC lost to the NPP during the 2016 General elections.
“The New Edubiase and Tepa seats were captured with the help of Dr. K. K Sarpong in the 2016 general elections “he revealed.
Fuseni Donkor again warned that, had it not been his smart move the intelligence he gathered as the then DCE and one in charge of security, K. K Sarpong could have added Drobonso Parliamentary Seat to that of the NPP.
“Dr. K K Sarpong doesn’t speak but operates very smartly”.
The Former DCE under the NDC further described Dr. K K Sarpong as a very “dangerous political animal” whose contributions to the NPP and even some chiefs in the region affects his party NDCs operations adding that he personally funded most candidates in the Ashanti Region during the elections.
“If I wasn’t strong he would’ve taken Drobonso seat as well. So if such a torn in our flesh would be removed to satisfy the National Chairman we shall heave a sigh of relief and focus on taking our seats back since he won’t be there again to cause any damage”, he revealed.
