Ebenezer Pedu, a 25-year-old taxi driver, has his intestines gashing from stab wounds from an armed robber who stole his taxi from him at Gomoa Ojobi Cemetery in the Central Region.
He is currently in a critical condition at Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital receiving treatment.
ASP David Osei Foffie, the Gomoa Ojobi District Police commander who confirmed the incidence to Adom News said the suspect hired the Nissan Amera Taxi with registration number GS 6331 from Kasoa to Ojobi.
He said upon reaching Gomoa Ojobi cemetery, the suspect who is on the run, pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach multiple times before driving off the stolen car.
“We were in the office when the driver walked in, soaked in blood and told us he had been stabbed in the stomach by an unidentified man and his car stolen; we also noticed his intestines were almost falling out,” he narrated.
ASP Foffie said they rushed the taxi driver who is currently in a critical condition to the hospital for treatment and therefore appealed to the general public to assist the police in arresting the suspect.
